Approaching Treatment with Innocence and Purity
You don’t say, “now I know this.” Your master or guru will say, “okay, now you can practice.”
When we try to judge ourselves, ego will come in.
This provides the practitioner to be able to effortlessly. Nature supports and moves through you. You are a person healing through nature.
The more you become simplified and humble, the greater achievements you can do.
More and more practice enables one to grasp the Siddhi (capability).
Vaidya has the siddhi (capability) of his words – whatever he says will come true. This siddhi has come due to all the chanting done.
Four Pillars of Treatment
- Bhishak (Vaidya)
- Dravya (substance/matter/herbs)
- Upastata (Technician/assistnat)
- Rogi (Patient)
Qualities of a Patient For Maximum Results
- Adya – Have certain wealth for required resources for treatment.
- Bhishagvashya – Complete surrender to the Vaidya.
- Jnapakaha – Good memory – to take the medicine and follow protocol and do what the attendant says.
- Satvavaanapi – Have courage and positive approach. Sattva. Have hope for removing the disease. Have patience. If patience is not there, there will be stress.
The importance of not asking the Vaidya, “How long with this disease be there?”
Healthy Skepticism
Required for western medicine to not fall a victim to inappropriate medical care, but better surrender the analytical mind when being treated in Ayurveda.
